juls-about

Hello there, I’m Jul’s.
I simply adore helping people get organized to bring out their true style.

Oh, and that apostrophe in my first name, it’s not a typo. It’s my true name, and it’s as unusual as my approach to professional organizing.

I believe if you’re not organized, it doesn’t mean you’re broken or doing something wrong. Too many times we talk about clutter as the enemy, or think that we’re totally failing because our space, our papers and our brains are in disarray.

Here’s the thing. Swirling thoughts and the sheer amount of information, paper and clutter we all accumulate in our day-to-day lives is overwhelming. Couple that with all the demands on your time and expectations, and it’s the perfect storm for you to feel like you can’t ever catch up, let alone tackle what lurks behind your closet doors or in your filing cabinets.

And when you decide today’s the day to get organized, so you watch a show on HGTV or order a book from Amazon, you miss the most important part of the equation – YOU.

It’s far too easy to end up feeling like you’re never ever going to get organized. Which is exactly how I can help you.

I take the time to get to know you, your challenges and your needs, then customize a solution to help you get organized.

A Little Bit About Me: How I Became a Pro Organizer

Before we go any further, here’s the stats: I’m a professional organizer for 18 years and I’m the author of a new book, 25 Days of Holiday Organizing . I’m also a Golden Circle (10 years) member of NAPO – National Association of Professional Organizers and I was the NAPO Connecticut Ambassador for over 3 years. Additionally, I’m also a member of AADMM – American Association of Daily Money Managers.

I want to let you in on a little secret: organization didn’t always come naturally to me.

juls-about-2Growing up, my parents were what you’d call “free spirited,” so things were pretty free flowing. I didn’t have to make my bed daily, and truth be told, my mother just closed the door on my messy, enter-at-your-own-risk room.

When I became a mother myself, life took on a new dimension of wondrous joy. A few years later, with two little boys, I found myself in the middle of a divorce, stuck in chaos. I realized that I needed to find a way to overcome and find my deep soul strength. I spent months bringing beauty into our home and getting organized to restore calm in our lives.

I’m willing to bet that I’m not all that different from you. I completely “get” that urge to tame your home, office, paperwork or all the clutter.

I believe that organization is a skill we can all learn, but it first needs to be adapted to our own style.

I’ve been a successful organizer for the over 14 years. I work with individuals and companies, organizing everything from entire homes to papers for high-profile attorneys. My clients are discerning professionals to busy moms.

How we can work together

I had a method for dealing with all the paper that came into my house—I put it into paper bags and stored them in my spare room. And then I couldn’t find anything, even really important documents. Nor use the spare room.

Thanks to Jul’s, who gently led me through the organizing process, I now have an easy, aesthetically pleasing filing system! And truly a spare room!

All of this was done with no judgment about how one could have come to such a point and with pleasant conversation so the time would fly by.”
